ILT20 Retentions and New Sign-Ups for Season 2nd 2024

ILT20 Retentions and New Sign-Ups: Season two of the ILT20 2024 in the United Arab Emirates will premiere on January 19, 2024, and it will include prominent international players, including David Warner, Mark Wood, Shadab Khan, and Ambati Rayudu. Shadab will be joining his Pakistani teammates at Desert Vipers, with Shaheen Shah Afridi and Azam Khan, while Warner and Wood will be joining Dubai Capitals, all because of their recent rivalry in the Ashes.

Players from prominent international teams include Warner, Shadab, Wood, and Rayudu on the ILT20 2024 rosters. While MI Emirates has recruited former CPL player Rayudu, Sharjah Warriors have added Martin Guptill, Mahesh Theekshana, and Lewis Gregory.

In addition to Wood and Warner, the Dubai Capitals added Dasun Shanaka, Andrew Tye, Sam Billings, and Rahmanullah Gurbaz to their roster. Abu Dhabi Knight Riders have added David Willey, Laurie Evans, Josh Little, and Ravi Bopara to their roster. Gulf Giants, the reigning champions, have also added Mujeeb Ur Rahman, a player for Capitals last year. The Warriors have signed Qais Ahmed. Along with Rayudu, MI Emirates has also picked Kusal Perera and Corey Anderson. On top of that, Vijayakanth Viyaskanth was added to the squad.

Oil Rigours and Michigan Vipers and Capitals, representing the Netherlands, have signed Bas de Leede and Roelof van der Merwe, respectively. In contrast, Emirates teams have signed Noshtush Kenjige and Saurabh Netravalkar to represent the United States. Chris Sole and Mark Watt will lead the Warriors’ coaching staff, while Brandon McMullen will oversee the Knight Riders. After the team is assembled, players from the UAE will be chosen.

The second seasons of the ILT20, the SA20 league, and the BBL will all take place in South Africa over the same period. Additionally, Root and Wood may be forced to leave the ILT20 early due to England’s upcoming five-test tour of India, which begins on January 25.
