Amna and Ali Naqvi’s sports company, Leonine Global Sports, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Leonine Global Investments, which owns the franchise. After a thrilling first-ever final against Quetta Gladiators, the franchise claimed the inaugural PSL title. They are the most successful franchise in PSL history with two titles, having won the competition in the third season with a three-wicket victory over Peshawar Zalmi.
It is at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium that the team calls home. Mike Hesson took over as coach after Azhar Mahmood left. Shadab Khan became the youngest captain in PSL history when he was named team captain before PSL 5. Ashley Wright and James Franklin are the team’s batting and bowling coaches.

Between 2016 and 2018, Fawad Khan served as the team’s star ambassador, whereas Ali Zafar served only for the 2016 season. Empowerment has also been a primary focus of the franchise, and Momina Mustehsan became the Empowerment Champion for the team during the 2017 season.
IU Official Anthem 2024:
Ali Zafar’s rendition of “Chakka Choka” served as the team’s anthem during the first season of the season. “Cricket Jorray Pakistan” was sung by Momina Mustehsan, and “Kitna Rola Daalay Ga” was sung by Abdullah Qureshi. Both of these songs were released in 2017 and are the team’s new anthems.
