Abu Dhabi Knight Riders Owners List: Knight Riders Group
Abu Dhabi Knight Riders Owners List: The United Arab Emirates Twenty20 League is ecstatic to share the news that the Knight Riders Group has purchased the rights to own and operate the Abu Dhabi franchise. As a result, the Knight Riders Group will establish the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders (ADKR) as an essential component of the UAE’s flagship Twenty20 league. The Knight Riders Group has established itself as a household name in Twenty20 cricket over the past decade.
After founding the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2008, the Knight Riders acquired ownership of the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in 2015. Both teams compete in the same tournament. The Knight Riders Group has recently made a significant investment in Major League Cricket (MLC) in the United States of America, and they intend to establish a franchise in the greater Los Angeles region.
This investment by the Knight Riders Group, which is headed by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, together with Juhi Chawla and her husband Jay Mehta, will build their 4th Twenty20 franchise throughout the globe in the IPL, CPL, and MLC, and now in the UAE’s T20 league as well.
